Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does my room have an ocean view?

    • All of our rooms and suites, with the exception of the apartment style suite and the penthouse suite, have full, unobstructed, ocean views. All rooms have balconies with two rocking chairs to enjoy the scenery. The apartment style suite and penthouse suite both have city views and full sized balconies with extra seating for the entire family!

  • How close is your hotel to the beach?

    • The Marquis de Lafayette is situated directly across from the beach. Purchases for beach tags as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals are available on the beach in front of the hotel at Beach Avenue & Decatur Avenue. Two beach passes per room are included with your stay.

  • When will the pool be open?

    • Our pool is scheduled to be open on May 3, 2024. The pool closes the end of October, date TBD.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • When booking directly with the hotel, a first night’s deposit is due when making a reservation. Any cancellations made 14 or more days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of deposit. Cancellations made 7- 14 days prior to arrival can be cancelled with a refund of first night's deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee. Any cancellations made within 7 days would result in a forfeiture of deposit.​

  • Is your hotel pet friendly?​

    • The first floor of the Marquis allows you to bring your furry friends along for the trip! The hotel must be notified of any pets at the time of making a reservation. Pets and Emotional Support Pets are only allowed on the first floor. Only service dogs with proper documentation are allowed in the elevators and on floors 2-6. Pets are allowed out on your balcony but not in the pool area.​

  • Is there dining available in or around your hotel?​

    • The Barefoot Bar is open to the public for lunch & dinner in season. There are also multiple dining options within walking distance to the hotel.​

  • Does your hotel offer parking and wifi?​

    • Yes. The Marquis has parking for guests of the hotel. One parking space per room and wifi is included with your resort fee.​

  • What time should I arrive?

    • Check in begins at 4pm. You are welcome to arrive early and preregister with the front desk to receive your parking pass and use the hotel ammenities, go to the beach, or walk around town. The front desk will call as soon as your room is ready. Check out on the day of departure is 11am.
